Mainzer Fastnacht®

(Rosen Tantau 1978) Strikingly large, very double flowers in a silvery-purple color. They appear very early. Blue Parfum® is a rich-flowering bedding rose. Medium-height growth. Bushy growth, light green foliage. The fragrance is exceptionally strong.

(Rosen Tantau 2014) A royal beauty of the nostalgic shrub roses. Enchanting flowers with a scent reminiscent of old roses set crimson-purple accents in romantic gardens. This variety is very bushy, produces an abundance of shoots and is particularly resistant to fungal diseases. Very well suited for rose hedges and the back of borders. It can also be cultivated as a climbing rose in regions with favourable conditions.

(Rosen Tantau 2018) All the advantages of a modern hybrid tea rose combined with the charm of nostalgic roses: Marietta® is a wine-red mix of the best of both rose worlds. These nostalgic looking flowers release an elegant fragrance. (Rosen Tantau 2020) Lilac Topaz® immediately makes hot summer days appear a lot more pleasant. The sight of the light-violet flush of flowers brings a refreshing coolness into the garden or onto the terrace. The large heads and abundance of petals in the fully double flowers of this floribunda rose make it particularly suitable for decorative planting in tubs.  

(Rosen Tantau 2019)  Pacific Blue® convinces with its outstanding intense fragrance and its unique lilac-blue flower colour. The colour is similar to our classic Mainzer Fassnacht® from 1964. This modern noble rose grows particularly densely bushy and blooms enormously richly. Also as a cut rose, Pacific Blue® is exceptionally productive with its noble flowers.

(Rosen Tantau 2012) Lavender Ice® belongs to the compact and low growing roses but is a very large-flowered hybrid. In terms of the flower size and how floriferous it is, it can rather be classified as a floribunda rose. Lavender Ice® grows low and bushy with very full bloom clusters that hold around 3-6 individual flowers.The individual flowers should be deadheaded to improve the next flush. The silvery lavender coloured flowers have a light fragrance.The leafs are large and light-green. A variety for good rose locations and particularly suited tubs in sunny places.  

(Rosen Tantau 2015) The cool, light lilac-blue flowers of Saphir® provide a unique display in the rose garden. Its slightly transparent petals are reminiscent of fine bone china. Saphir® flowersexpel a mild, very pleasant rose fragrance. During prolonged dry spells protection against mildew may be required. Saphir® has an upright habit and is likely to be popular with rosarians.

(Rosen Tantau 2009) This large-flowered, strongly fragranced hybrid tea rose was ceremoniously christened in the Uetersen monastery garden in 2009, Goethe’s anniversary year. The large crimson-violet flowers do justice to the name with a full hybrid tea rose fragrance. The foliation is striped green-blue and exceptionally robust. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe roses are very well suited as cut flowers.

(Rosen Tantau 2013) An extraordinary Starlet Beauty® rose in every respect. The plants produce an abundance of shoots and are densely bushy, the foliage is light-green and extremely resistant to fungal attacks. Melina repeat flowers all summer long in medium-sized clusters with 3-6 individual blooms. Fully double-flowered blooms that start off violet and later turn light-blue with a very strong, sweet and fruity fragrance. The flowers are very long lasting.
