A very special highlight in the rose year
As part of the 2025 Summer Festival at the festival theater in Baden-Baden, our new red climbing rose was presented to the public by our head breeder Jens Krüger and dedicated to the Canadian star conductor of the Metropolitan Opera, Yannick Nézet-Séguin.
The conductor, who was present in person, christened the newly bred carmine-red climbing rose "Maestro Yannick" in the patrons' garden at the Josefinnen fountain with a jug of water from the River Oos.
He is proud that a rose now bears his name. ‘It's the most extraordinary gift anyone could give me,’ he says.
