This climbing rose has a very hardy growth habit, is very compact overall and grows strong shoots. Abundant and long-lasting flowering. Can also be planted as a shrub rose. Thorny. Also very lovely as a cascading plant.

Its flowering habit is similar to that of a rambling rose but it grows low and compact to a maximum height of 200 cm. The colour of the flower can be described as a bright cherry-red through to a magenta-red. An outstanding feature is the strong and sweet rose fragrance that can be smelled from afar.The flowers appear in large clusters and clean themselves very well. The dark, very glossy foliage is healthy and strong. The shooting tendrils can be very easily bent.

(EUROSA breeder / Rosen Tantau 2007) A perennial rambler rose with large clusters of flowers, starting off purplepink and fading to a violet-blue. Its foliage is small, glossy and very hardy. Perennial Blue starts to flower already on shorter new shoots around 1 m long and on side shoots of older branches. This allows it to achieve an abundant and lush play of colours. The flexible shoots are easy to bend and can be trained into a broad, branched plant structure. Perennial Blue is particularly well suited for trellises, arches and also pillars. We recommend a good summer cutback after the first flush.

(Rosen Tantau 2006) A climbing rose that shoots very well and whose ball-shaped flower cup is reminiscent of the famous “Raubritter” rambler. Whereby the Uetersener Klosterrose produces a good second flush of flowers. The cream-coloured flowers open to reveal their yellow stamen, yet the overall impression is romantic and delicate. The sweet wild-rose fragrance is definitely not overpowering but rather pleasantly mild. The climbing rose is extremely healthy with a vigorous growth habit. We recommend the annual shoots be bent horizontally for best flowering performance.
