... the well-known Rosarium in Uetersen? 
Uetersen, home of the Rosen Tantau headquarter, maintains a Rosarium in the town center (Wassermühlenstrasse) opposite the town hall. In this nearly 70,000-sqm public park, rose lovers will find more than 30,000 roses in about 900 types and varieties arranged around a generous lake. Among them are many varieties from Rosen Tantau. This park is open to the public at all times (no entrance fee). A visit is worthwhile, of course, especially during the rose bloom from about mid-May to the end of September.
For the 75th anniversary in 2009 the Rosarium in Uetersen was extensively redesigned and planted many new varieties. Since 2009 it is also possible for couples to get married on the wedding island surrounded by water and a sea of roses. Since 2007 there is the association "Freunde und Förderer des Rosariums Uetersen e.V.", which is engaged for the Rosarium. Information on activities and events at www.rosarium-uetersen.com.
During the rose season, visitors can learn about roses every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. as part of the free Rosarium tours (meeting point: hotel entrance PARKHOTEL-Rosarium****, Berliner Straße 10, 25436 Uetersen) or listen to musical performances in the music pavilion on Sundays at 3 p.m. (if the weather permits). Further guided tours (e.g. for groups) can also be booked on other days (about 40,- EUR).
